One of the best parts of staying in our direct Gulf-front condos is the incredible food just steps from your front door. You don't have to fight the Clearwater traffic to find a world-class meal. From "Old Florida" fish shacks to upscale waterfront dining, Indian Shores has it all.
As a lifelong foodie and local host, I’ve vetted the best spots so you don’t have to. Here is your comprehensive guide to the best dining in and around Indian Shores.

A legendary beach landmark, Salt Rock Grill is the crown jewel of Indian Shores dining. It sits right on the Intracoastal with an upscale, high-energy vibe that is perfect for a special night out. They are famous for their amazing wine cellar and fresh "day-boat" seafood caught by their own fleet.
The Vibe: Sophisticated but welcoming with a dress code that is beach casual. The outdoor fire pits overlooking the water are the best spot for a pre-dinner cocktail.
The "Insider" Tip: Locals live for the Early Bird "Supper Club" menu. It is an incredible three-course value, but you must arrive early—the lobby often fills up the moment they open at 4:00 PM.
Must-Order: The oak-grilled steaks are the star, but regulars rave about the Crab Cakes and the thick-cut Calamari.

Small and unassuming, DJ’s Clam Shack is your go-to spot for a meal that was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. It’s a true Indian Shores favorite that delivers some of the highest-quality seafood on the island without the long waits of the larger restaurants.
The Vibe: Completely relaxed and no-frills. It’s the perfect place to grab a quick, high-quality lunch in your flip-flops after a morning on the sand.
The Specialty: Their Hot Connecticut Style Lobster Roll recently won "Best of the Bay." It is overstuffed with fresh, buttery lobster meat on a perfectly toasted roll.
Must-Order: The Garlic Butter Clams—locals joke they would drink the broth if it weren't embarrassing.

For a fresh, healthy break from traditional beach fare, Turkish Flame is a true hidden gem located right in the heart of Indian Shores. Chef Bora brings genuine Mediterranean hospitality to the Gulf Coast with recipes rooted in traditional Turkish culture, offering a quiet escape from the busier seafood spots.
The Vibe: Warm, authentic, and pristine. It’s a quiet, beautiful escape that feels worlds away from the bustling beach bars.
The Specialty: The Mixed Shawarma and Lamb Kebab are cooked to juicy perfection.
Must-Order: The Baked Hummus—it’s served warm with a drizzle of olive oil, which is much richer and more flavorful than the standard cold version.

While technically just a few miles north of Indian Shores, the Columbia Restaurant is absolutely worth the short 15-minute drive. As Florida’s oldest restaurant, it offers a slice of history paired with a stunning view of Clearwater Harbor.
The Vibe: Old-world Spanish elegance with a Mediterranean-style dining room. Request a table by the window to watch the sunset while your server prepares your meal tableside.
The Legend: You cannot visit without ordering the Famous 1905 Salad, tossed right at your table with a secret garlic dressing and Romano cheese.
Must-Order: The Cuban Sandwich and the Roast Pork "A la Yarina." And whatever you do, don't skip the warm Cuban bread; it’s meant to be drenched in their high-quality butter!

Since 1983, The Original Crabby Bill’s has been the heartbeat of the local seafood scene in Indian Rocks Beach. It’s exactly what a Florida fish house should be: loud, casual, and incredibly fresh.
The Vibe: Rustic, "Old Florida" charm with live music and a lively crowd. It’s the kind of place where you can relax after a long day in the sun.
The Specialty: The Chicago Style Baked Oysters are a personal favorite—freshly shucked and topped with a savory mix of parmesan, garlic butter, and Old Bay.
Must-Order: The "Crabby" Cocktails and their classic Clam Chowder, which has been a local staple for over 40 years.

For massive plates and a vibrant atmosphere, VIP Mexican American Grill is a must-visit. This easygoing spot is famous for its "Tex-Mex" flair and American classics doled out in an easygoing restaurant with a bar and a patio.
The Vibe: Colorful and eclectic with a great outdoor patio. It’s almost always busy, but the energy (and the margaritas) make the wait part of the fun.
Must-Order: Their "Wet Burritos" are legendary—they are roughly the size of a small football and smothered in a rich, flavorful sauce and melted cheese.

A high-energy eatery and bar that feels like a beachside paradise, Coco’s Crush Bar and Grill is the home of the famous Orange Crush cocktail. Located right on the border of Indian Shores and Indian Rocks Beach, it is a great spot for groups and families.
The Vibe: High-energy and fun with live music nightly and a spacious interior.
The Specialty: They host All-You-Can-Eat Snow Crab nights every Monday that are a massive hit with both locals and tourists.
Must-Order: Beyond the signature Orange Crush, try the Gator Bites or the Crab Cake Benedict for a late-morning brunch.
